（有）PIOX-日本メディカの創業は平成3年12月14日。当時歯科における2大疾患のうちのひとつである歯周病は、歯槽膿漏と呼ばれていました。その治療法は、歯がぐらぐらと動いたら抜いて入れ歯にするのが一般的。そんな中、歯周病治療を施せば自歯は残せるということを知らしめる、啓蒙用の小冊子「ペリオ倶楽部」を編集・出版することを目的に当会社は設立されました。
以降、歯周病治療法の改良に軸足を置き、学会発表や論文投稿、歯周病の評価方法に関する特許取得等を主導してきました。2016年日本臨床歯周病学会の倫理審査を得て、5年間の臨床研究を実施。そこで得られたデータから歯周炎進行度評価アプリ「PerioPerio」を製作しました。2021年、「PerioPerio」のリリースと共に、製造元の当（有）日本メディカにアプリ販売部門PIOXを新設、販売を行っていくこととなりました。
About Us
PIOX-Nihon Medica Ltd. was founded on December 14, 1991. At that time, periodontal disease, one of the two major diseases in dentistry, was called alveolar pyorrhea. Its treatment was generally to pull out the teeth and replace them with dentures when they moved lazily. In such a situation, our company was established with the purpose of editing and publishing an educational booklet called “Perio Club” to let people know that their teeth can be preserved if periodontal disease treatment is applied.
Since then, we have been focusing on improving periodontal disease treatment methods, presenting at conferences, submitting papers, and leading the way in obtaining patents for periodontal disease evaluation methods, etc. In 2016, we obtained ethical review from the Japanese Academy of Clinical Periodontology and conducted a five-year clinical study. In 2021, with the release of “PerioPerio”, the application sales division PIOX was established in Nihon Medica Co.
